The Neonatal Transport Group (NTG) have issued the following position statement:
Neonatal Transport services are seeing increased activity with both repatriation and acute uplift in care transfers.
Most teams are facing staffing issues, as in all other services in the NHS.
There is an increasing number of requests for capacity transfers and we would ask referring units to ensure internal escalation has occurred prior to referral.
Transport services will triage capacity request and will endeavour to move within 24 hours of request.
Uplift in care transfers will take priority
