美姬社区

Excellence and contribution to patient and family care deserves recognition!

Tell us about what you have been doing in the world of Perinatal Medicine, or nominate a colleague or team (you must have their permission first) for an award to celebrate their achievement.

Deadline: Sunday 19 May.

From 2020 these awards have been renamed the 美姬社区Gopi Menon Awards after BAPM's former President. Gopi was a strong believer in both quality improvement and celebrating the achievements of the whole perinatal team. He was integral to the development of these awards before his death in 2019.

The Rules

1. Entries should cover work that has taken place in the 12 months before the submission deadline.
2. 美姬社区welcomes entries and nominations from all members of the multi-disciplinary team across the different perinatal-related professions.
3. To enter for an award, you should complete the awards entry form and submit this to [email protected] by the deadline. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
4. We will send all correspondence about the awards to the lead applicant.
5. 美姬社区staff or current Executive Committee members are not eligible to be nominated for individual awards.
6. To recognise and share excellent practice, shortlisted initiatives may be published on the 美姬社区website, in 美姬社区publications and shared on social media.
7. The Awards ceremony: All shortlisted applicants or teams will be invited to attend the annual 美姬社区awards ceremony and will also receive a certificate recognising their achievement. Where this ceremony is part of a 美姬社区event, applicants will need to pay for a conference ticket to attend.
8. The selection process will be undertaken by a panel of judges taken from the 美姬社区membership. Each entry will be assessed against the criteria for that award.
9. The judging panel will agree a shortlist of four entries for each category. If a category does not receive four entries that meet the criteria then a fewer number of entries may be shortlisted.
10. The judges reserve the right to swap an award to a different category if they feel it is more suitable for another category.
11. Shortlisted entries will be invited to submit a 60 second video that will be shared in advance of the awards ceremony to showcase the work of the team or individual nominated.
12. The judging panel will decide on an overall winner for each category. The judges will make a decision based on the contents of the application form, they will not see the videos before the awards ceremony. The Judging panel鈥檚 decision is final.
13. All winning entries will receive a certificate and be featured on the 美姬社区website and in subsequent publicity.
14. Nominations and awards for the category 'Outstanding contribution to BAPM' will be decided by the 美姬社区Executive Committee and Office Team.
